PLOT SUMMARY: Two sisters grow up together in their home town in Nigeria, full of hopes and dreams for the future. For the elder sister though, working as a banker in Nigeria is just not enough. So, when the opportunity presents itself, she leaves Nigeria to pursue greener pastures in America which she deems "The gateway to heaven", not knowing that all that glitters is not always gold. On getting to America, she gets in trouble and finds herself in prison, charged with murder of not just one man but four (Her husband inclusive) Her younger sister rushes to her side from Nigeria and then, the story gets interesting. The plot starts to unfold and secrets are let out. She says she is innocent but the jury is not buying it. The case seems hopeless until she is coarsed into telling the real story. Doesn't mean she's guilty though.
It's a good one. A wonderful story, well told. The actors showed real emotions. The beginning was a bit cheesy though but it ended up passing the needed information. I love how they waited till later in the movie to tell us what was actually going on and how it wasn't even what I was thinking. Amazing movie. No wonder it won all those awards.
