These days, I hear people use the word "street" they say stuff like "the hustle is real" or "the street is tough" scoffs!!! Please!!! You know nothing of the street until you have seen "straight outta compton" This is the realest, naked, truest movie I have seen in a really long time. It portrayed police brutality, black struggle, betrayal and what not to do whenyou go from grass to grace. My mind has been blown out of its socket. I'm not even sure how to write this. Initially, I started this movie but then dropped it cos I thought it was one of those black, gangsta movies. Who isn't tired of those? I'm happy I picked it up again.
The setting was beautiful, the music was amazing, kinda like those horror movies where the music is actually scarier than the movie. The cinematography, the acting; seriously, O'shea Jackson could very well have been the real ice cube. They were all so real, it felt like I was back there in the 1980s, in the street of compton, california myself. It was well directed, the writing was superb, the lines too. I picked this up: "cos I might be the one to kill your mother f...king ass. Remember me. O.G Two turn, Crenshaw mafia" hahahahahah. You need to watch the movie to get it though. It was a really scary situation.
The language though. All that "vulgarbulary" and curse words. It was reality though.
Just an insight, so I don't spoil the movie for y'all.
